New Court Date

Well, we still are having to do our hearing to fight the tribe, but the date has been changed to September 26th. This is just feeling like it will never end, it is feeling ridiculous. Aedyn will be one year old when we go to court. What judge in the right mind would rip this child out of his home, away from his parents? I still feel frustrated, and when I think about the actual day fear rips through my body. I am trying to be strong in emotion and faith.

Our wish would be that we would get to court and the judge would ask if either the parent(HUGH) or the baby (Aedyn) has been made a member, and the tribe would say No, and then the judge would say case dismissed. Please everyone pray for this scenario, so the day would be quick and painless.

Movin' and groovin'

Help! He's into everything! Aedyn is such a pro at crawling, pulling up and cruising along the furniture, it's hard to keep up with him. What'll happen when he's walking and i am trying to breastfeed an infant? I guess I look forward to the challenge and fear it in the same breath.

Aedyn's new discoveries are drawers, drawers, and more drawers. he gets into the drawers in the coffee table, the end tables, the kitchen. He found the mops and swiffer in the corner of the dining area and loves to play with those. he has also started attacking the TV and the sliding glass doors.

i love watching him discover these new things. Actually, at this moment he is chewing and slobbering on my leg, he must like the feeling, mommy finally got to shave. He has also started a new love affair with Oliver, too bad Ollie doesn't reciprocate the infatuation.

Our Aedyn is so amazing!

Earthquake!

Today at 11:42 am we experienced an 5.8 earthquake. The epicenter was in Chino Hills. Aedyn and i were making lunch and everything just started swaying and rolling and all the windows rattled. At first I thought it was the car across the street blaring its radio, which normally rattles the windows, but it kept going. I ripped Aedyn, whose eyes were really big, out of his highchair and stood in the door jam by the kitchen. Everything is fine, no one was hurt, including Daddy who was on the 10th floor of his building, which of course made him feel the roll and made him hightail it down the stairs.

What fun, another first for Aedyn!

The Miracle of Life(stay tuned for the next installment)

So I thought I would put up pictures of the belly baby. They are so fascinating just to see the baby grow. It amazes me still.(don't forget to click on the photos to see them bigger and better)

So this first pic. was taken on 3/11/08, and the one below was taken one week later on 3/18/08. Of course these are all ultrasound pictures, and there are so many already because they needed to check weekly for a while to make sure the baby was thriving due to our infertility history. This next picture was taken on 4/1/08, you can definitely see where the head and body are forming.

This one I call the alien baby. If you look close you can see the head is facing the "camera" and you can see the eyes, you can even see an arm waving hello.

This next group was taken 6/3/08. The baby has grown so much just in one month. In the middle shot you can see the baby's arm bent moving the thumb to the mouth to suck on it. We actually have a moving DVD of this shot, and it is just so crazy to see.
Well, the next picture will reveal to all the gender of the baby. So stay tuned for the next installment.

Cousins!

Angela, our niece spent a week with us here in Simi. She was the best, she helped out and was the perfect guest. Aedyn loved playing with his cousin. We loved having her stay with us. We'll miss you sweetie!

4th of July!

Our 4th of July was great! We spent it with family at one of our local parks here in Simi Valley. They have live music, food, and games for kids. Then, of course there is a lovely fireworks display. We brought our tent to shade us from the sun, a card table to eat and play games, El pollo loco for dinner, and lots of drinks and snacks. I even decorated the tent with flags. It was truly spectacular!

A long day equals a couple of extra minutes in the morning to write this blog

So yesterday was a great day. It seemed so long but really wasn't.  We had a typical morning of playing and eating and naptime.  Then, we did a few short errands, grabbed a bite to eat and headed over to the public pool down the road.  Angela is such a great swimmer, she's got a strong kick!  And she played so well with Aedyn while I had him in the pool.  His first two nights of swim class went great, he is a natural.  We sang songs and played games, he worked on his kicking, and his ice cream scoop stroke, his monkey crawl along the edge of the pool, and floating.  Blowing bubbles in the water has still yet to be accomplished, although he loves it when Daddy blows bubbles! So of course, after two sessions in the pool Aedyn was a very tired boy, which allows me 30 extra minutes to gloat in the blog.

The stupid thing is I keep forgetting to take pictures! Sorry!
